We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented tradesperson to join a major new build housing site in the Benwell area of Newcastle. This is an ongoing contract with a high-volume residential developer, offering consistent work and competitive weekly pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all aspects of preboarding to a high standard.
- Installing fire-stopping, beads, and ensuring noggins are correctly placed and secured.
- Checking that all internal framing and floor areas are level and debris-free.
- Working from plot specifications and snag lists to ensure 'plaster-ready' status.
- Managing material distribution (boards and timber) to various plots as required.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
- Proven experience in preboarding or first-fix labouring on a new build housing site.
- Strong knowledge of internal house-building sequences and fire-stopping requirements.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots).
- A basic set of tools (cordless drill, tape measure, hammer) is highly advantageous.
- A reliable work ethic - we need someone who can maintain the pace of a busy site.
