Salary: £38,000 - £41,500 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

On-Call: 1 in 5 Rota

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated Facilities Management (FM) team at a high-security operational facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping essential services running smoothly. You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and fault-finding across a diverse range of electrical systems and equipment on site. If you have a strong industrial or FM background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and are looking for a stable, long-term position with regular weekday hours, we want to hear from you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Planned Maintenance: Execute routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical equipment, distribution boards, machinery, and lighting systems to prevent operational downtime.
  • Fault-Finding & Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to site operations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres strictly to health and safety guidelines and current regulations, including IEE 18th Edition wiring standards.
  • Site Support: Respond promptly to emergency faults or breakdowns across the facility.
  • On-Call Cover: Participate in a 1-in-5 on-call rotation to manage out-of-hours electrical emergencies.

Key Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent recognized trade qualification).
  • Apprenticeship: Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or equivalent proven experience.
  • Wiring Regulations: Fully competent with a thorough understanding of IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience working within Facilities Management (FM) or industrial/commercial environments.
  • Security Clearances: Must be eligible to pass standard background and security checks required for working within a secure facility.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £38,000 - £41,500 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday schedule (37.5 hours/week).
