We\’re looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer with significant HVAC construction experience to join our team at Heathrow Airport delivering a major MEP upgrade package at Terminal 2. This is a great opportunity to work on a high-profile project in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a highly regarded contractor. This is a freelance contract role based full time on site at Heathrow and expected to last a minimum 6-12 months. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the mechanical package, with a primary focus on HVAC systems. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met. Oversee project budgets and schedules, identifying and mitigating any potential risks. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to an airport setting. Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards. Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within a construction enivornment , with a strong emphasis on HVAC. Previous experience working in a live, operational airport environment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of UK building regulations and health & safety standards.
