Caterpillar is seeking a proactive Packaging Technician at their premier Desford facility. This is not simply a driving position-you will serve as the operational backbone of the Packaging Team, directly supporting production continuity, managing packaging assets, and collaborating with Packaging Engineers. Fun Fact: Former Packaging Technicians in this department have progressed into full Packaging Engineers! Key Responsibilities Forklift Operations Asset & Inventory Control Maintenance & Supplier Coordination Stakeholder Collaboration REQUIREMENTS Essential: Active Counterbalance Forklift License/Certification and operating experience. Desirable: Fork spreader experience. Technical Skills: Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) for inventory tracking and supplier emails. Experience: Minimum 1+ year in a warehouse, logistics, material handling, or shipping environment. Mindset: Proactive, team-player attitude with strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
