Job Opportunity: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: London, Stratford

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Site Type: Large Static Education Campus

Salary: 42,000 - 44,000 + Overtime

About the Role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable, localised role with an excellent work-life balance?

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive repairs across a diverse range of mechanical plant and building services.
  • System Oversight: Maintain and fault-find on HVAC systems, commercial heating plant, pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, and hot/cold water distribution networks.
  • Minor Installations: Undertake small-scale mechanical installation and pipework modifications as required.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to strict health and safety regulations, maintaining accurate compliance logs and work records.
  • Subcontractor Liaison: Escort and monitor external specialist contractors when required on-site.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or Heating & Ventilation (or equivalent relevant apprenticeship).

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
