Electromechanical Assembly Technician / Build Engineer Contract Type: 4-Week Short-Term Contract Location: West London Workshop (Near Notting Hill) Positions Available: 3-4 Engineers Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Pay Rate: Competitive (Hourly / Day Rate, dependent on experience) About the Role We are a high-tech robotics company manufacturing Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) in-house at our West London workshop near Notting Hill. To meet an upcoming delivery milestone for our latest robot model, we are hiring 3-4 temporary Electromechanical Assembly Engineers for a 4-week contract. Prior experience in robotics is not required. We are looking for hands-on, detail-oriented engineers with solid experience in assembling complex electromechanical hardware-such as automation equipment, electric vehicles (EVs), industrial machinery, or similar technology. Key Responsibilities Build and assemble Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) directly from mechanical engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Perform complete electrical wiring and harness work, including precision crimping, routing, and soldering. Integrate and wire low-voltage DC systems, electric motors, motor controllers, and sensors. Confidently use standard hand and power tools to achieve high precision and quality standards. Collaborate closely with our core engineering team in a fast-paced, hands-on workshop environment. Requirements & Qualifications Qualifications: Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstratable experience). Assembly Experience: Proven background in electromechanical assembly of complex systems (e.g., robotics, EVs, AMRs, industrial equipment, or automation machinery). Electrical Skills: Practical experience with wiring harnesses, crimping, soldering, routing, and working with low-voltage DC power setups and motor/sensor integration. Blueprints & BOMs: Strong ability to independently read, interpret, and build from engineering drawings and BOM lists. Work Ethic: Confident with hand and power tools, strong attention to detail, and comfortable working dynamically in a small, close-knit team. Location & Hours Workplace: 100% on-site at our workshop in West London (Notting Hill area). Excellent public transport access via tube and bus networks. Duration: 4 weeks (Full-Time).
