Salary: Β£46,000 per annum + Overtime & Benefits
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts - 4 Days on, 4 Days off, 4 Nights on, 4 Days off
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Shift Electrical Engineer to join our facilities and infrastructure maintenance team. In this role, you will deliver critical planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a variety of commercial and aviation electrical systems, ensuring maximum uptime, compliance, and operational efficiency in a high-security environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fault diagnostics, routine inspections, and reactive repairs on single and three-phase power systems, lighting, control panels, motors, distribution boards, and emergency systems.
Respond rapidly to critical electrical breakdowns to minimize operational impact across airport facilities.
Manage workflow and complete job records using the on-site computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) or handheld PDA devices.
Safely isolate electrical systems, issuing Permits to Work and carrying out Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) in compliance with airport and industry safety standards.
Support multi-disciplinary maintenance teams with cross-functional building services and mechanical checks where necessary.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or C&G 2360 / 2330 / 2365 equivalent).
BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
