About the Role: As General Foreman, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing critical aspects of this reservoir refurbishment project, which includes: Reinforced concrete structures for water retention and related works. Large-scale earthworks, including excavation, backfill, and embankment stabilization. Integration of associated civil engineering elements in line with project specifications.You will lead a diverse workforce, coordinate site activities, and ensure the successful delivery of this project to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Manage and motivate site teams, including subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and to programme. Site Management: Oversee day-to-day site operations, including monitoring progress, managing logistics, and troubleshooting any issues. Technical Oversight: Supervise construction activities, with a particular focus on reinforced concrete works and earthworks to ensure compliance with technical specifications. Health & Safety: Implement and uphold rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards across the site. Quality Assurance: Monitor quality control processes, ensuring all work meets or exceeds required standards. Collaboration: Work closely with Site Engineers, the Project Manager, and the wider project team to ensure seamless project delivery. Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, resource allocation, and material usage. What We’re Looking For: To excel in this role, you will need: Experience: Demonstrable success as a General Foreman on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in reinforced concrete structures and earthworks, with a solid understanding of their construction methods. Industry Experience: Previous work on reservoir projects or similar water infrastructure schemes is highly desirable. Qualifications: A valid CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS certification are essential.
