I am currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join the night shift team on a prestigious commercial contract based in the heart of Central London. Working within a modern, high-end office environment, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the fabric and aesthetics of the building, keeping the space safe, smart, and compliant around the clock. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in commercial property maintenance who enjoys night work and thrives in a professional, well-maintained setting.
5 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off (12 hour shift - nights only) Static office building in Central London.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across the building including doors, ceilings, flooring, walls, tiling, and glazing.
- Conduct minor repairs such as patch plastering, painting, door adjustments, lock changes, and basic carpentry.
- Support health & safety best practices and ensure compliance with all relevant building standards.
- Perform routine inspections of internal and external areas to identify defects and hazards.
- Carry out minor plumbing tasks (e.g. unblocking sinks, changing taps, replacing WC seats).
- Maintain site standards and cleanliness across plant rooms, risers, and public areas.
- Support the day team where required through clear handovers and maintenance logs.
- Liaise with security, cleaning, and other out-of-hours staff to ensure smooth building operations.
- Accurately complete reports and CAFM system logs for all work undertaken.
- NVQ / C&G Level 2/3 in Plumbing/Carpentry/Painting & Decorating.
- Experience working in high-end office buildings or corporate settings.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
