We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operative to join our team on an exciting harbour extension project in Inverness. This is a chance to be part of a major infrastructure development with consistent work.

About the Role

As an experienced Dumper Driver on this crucial harbour extension project, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of large volumes of materials around the site. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating various types of dumpers (e.g., articulated, rigid) safely and efficiently, often in challenging terrain or close to water.
  • Transporting earth, aggregates, rock, and other construction materials across the project site.
  • Working closely with excavators, groundworkers, and site management to ensure precise material placement and effective workflow.
  • Performing daily safety checks and basic maintenance on your assigned machinery, reporting any faults promptly.
  • Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations, particularly those related to marine construction and heavy plant operations.
  • Contributing to the overall productivity and success of the project.

What We're Looking For

We need a candidate who possesses:

  • Proven experience as a dumper driver on large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally with experience on marine, infrastructure, or groundworks sites.
  • A valid CPCS or NPORS Dumper ticket is essential.
  • Excellent machine operating skills with a strong awareness of site hazards and a focus on safety.
  • Ability to work efficiently and reliably, both independently and as part of a busy team.
  • A strong understanding of site logistics and material handling.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are paramount.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred.
