We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Multi-Skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team for a long-term temporary contract. In this role, you will be responsible for executing both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to ensure all onsite plant and equipment operate within agreed service levels.
Role Overview
- Pay Rate: £24.45 per hour.
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Duration: 09/02/2026 - 09/04/2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Carry out routine maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical and mechanical systems as required.
- Sub-contractor Management: Supervise and call out relevant sub-contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
- Compliance & Reporting: Report all PPM defects through the client defect process and ensure weekly equipment reports are fully updated.
- Administrative Duties: Sign off completed tasks via a PDA in real-time, following all site-specific procedures.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the constant provision of a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and visitors.
- Client Relations: Maintain professional communication with client representatives and visitors, providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional Certification: Must hold a recognized Electrical Qualification and be C&G 18th Edition certified.
- Testing & Inspection: Proficient knowledge of C&G Test and Inspection procedures.
- Technical Expertise: Experience working with a variety of building electrical systems, including emergency lighting, fire alarms, and BMS.
- Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of current BS regulations and planned preventative maintenance regimes.
- Experience: Proven track record in a business-critical environment with a focus on structured PPM delivery and safety-led roles.
- Core Skills: Good standard of written and spoken English, basic mathematical skills, and proficiency in electrical systems management and paperwork.
