Overview
Our client is a leading Main contractor in the North East that is looking to expand the team with a Document Controller due to work on their strong pipeline of ongoing work.
In this vital role, you\’ll be the central point for all project-related documentation, ensuring that information is managed efficiently and accurately throughout the construction lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key part in the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Document Management: Maintain, manage, and distribute all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, and correspondence.
- Version Control: Implement and enforce a robust system of version control to ensure that all team members are working with the latest approved documents.
- Filing & Archiving: Accurately file and archive both physical and digital documents in a structured and easily accessible manner.
- Information Flow: Control the flow of documents to and from subcontractors, consultants, and clients, ensuring timely distribution and retrieval.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain the project\’s Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure document control procedures are being followed and that all documentation meets company standards.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on document status and project information.
- Communication: Act as a key point of contact for all document-related queries, liaising with project managers, site teams, and external parties.
