The Opportunity
Are you a qualified Electrician looking for a stable, high-impact role within a large-scale healthcare environment? We are seeking a Static Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Estates team at a major site in Dartford. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for the site's infrastructure, ensuring that power supplies, critical building systems, and emergency alarms remain fully operational. Your technical expertise will directly impact the safety and comfort of staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned & Reactive Works: Deliver scheduled preventative maintenance and respond quickly to urgent electrical faults.
- System Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair issues within electrical circuits, pumps, lighting, and power distribution.
- Critical Services: Support the maintenance of specialized building services, including fire alarms, lift systems, and environmental controls.
- Emergency Response: Act as a core member of the fire response team, making high-pressure decisions to ensure site safety.
What You'll Need
This is a physically active role on a large, complex site. You will need:
- Qualifications: A recognized CITB apprenticeship (or equivalent) with a minimum NVQ Level 3.
- Certification: 18th Edition IEE Regulations and an ONC in Electrical Engineering or City & Guilds Craft Certificate.
- Resilience: The ability to walk up to 20,000 steps a day, work at heights (ladder work), and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Professionalism: A calm, professional demeanor when working in public-facing areas and around vulnerable individuals.
