Randstad is recruiting a SHE Advisor to join a tier-one main contractor on a major energy transmission project in South Wales. This is an immediate, site-based contract to drive safety leadership and compliance during early works and ground investigations.
The Role
- Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, you will oversee daily site safety and lead incident investigations:
- Site Compliance & Leadership: Provide daily on-site safety guidance to project teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with SHE legislation and company standards.
- Incidents & Auditing: Lead root-cause incident investigations, deliver key learnings, and report accurately on site SHEQ performance metrics.
- Culture & Stakeholder Engagement: Drive a positive safety and environmental culture through daily site briefings, toolboxes, and proactive client engagement.
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum requirement). IOSH membership desirable.
- Sector Background: Proven SHE experience within energy transmission, overhead line (OHL) schemes, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience leading root-cause accident/incident investigations and auditing regulated sites.
- Site Availability: Valid UK driving licence and able to work on site in South Wales 5 days a week.
