We are currently looking for experienced, reliable Steelfixers for a brand-new, large-scale civil engineering / construction project kicking off in Northumberland this July. This is a brilliant opportunity to secure steady, long-term work with a top-tier contractor on an ongoing scheme.
What the role involves:
- Reading and interpreting structural engineering drawings and bending schedules.
- Setting out, cutting, bending, and fixing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh.
- Tying steel using hand tools/cutters to secure structures like foundations, retaining walls, and concrete slabs.
- Working safely and productively alongside the concrete and shuttering gangs to meet tight site schedules.
What you need to apply:
- Valid Blue CSCS Card (NVQ Level 2 in Steelfixing preferred).
- Full PPE and your own reliable tools (nips/rebar cutters, belts, etc.).
- Proven experience as a Steelfixer on major commercial, civils, or housebuilding frameworks.
- Reliable transport to get to site in Northumberland.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to site health and safety.
