This Senior Project Surveyor position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead commercial operations on major construction projects in the Birmingham area. Working for a premier Tier 1 main contractor, you will take full ownership of subcontract procurement, commercial risk management, client valuations, and project final accounts.

Lead commercial strategy across major construction packages, managing subcontract procurement, enquiry analysis, and order placements. Produce accurate monthly and quarterly cost reports (CVRs), cash flow projections, and margin forecasts alongside project leaders. Manage client valuations, negotiate complex contract variations, and finalize main contract and subcontract final accounts. Drive risk and opportunity planning, design strategy development, and compliance with business best practice procedures.

You are a highly accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager with a proven track record delivering major construction schemes for a main contractor. Your expertise encompasses expert negotiation, digital commercial management tools, and strong collaborative leadership. Hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) alongside MRICS, MCIOB, or working toward chartered status. Demonstrate extensive main contractor commercial management experience, including complex valuations, variations, and final accounts. Show advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, BIM tools, and computer-aided measurement software. Possess expert negotiation skills, strong risk management capability, and deep knowledge of construction safety regulations.
