Overview
As the Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Senior Surveyor and the wider commercial team on a number of exciting projects across Kent and East Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to further progress your career, with the chance to work on a variety of different projects within Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Residential.
Responsibilities
- Managing a project's budget by creating cost estimates, monitoring spending, and producing financial reports to ensure it stays on track.
- Handling all legal and contractual aspects of a project, including reviewing contracts, managing sub-contractor payments, and resolving claims or disputes.
- Identifying and evaluating potential financial risks to the project and creating strategies to minimise them, thereby protecting the contractor's profit.
Requirements
- 2 years Experience working as the Junior/Assistant Surveyor.
- Ideally working towards your HNC.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and bespoke packages.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and can work to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to undertake training and development to further progress your career.
