Location: Kent, Gillingham

Salary: £25k – £45k + Negotiable Package plus benefits

Overview

As the Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Senior Surveyor and the wider commercial team on a number of exciting projects across Kent and East Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to further progress your career, with the chance to work on a variety of different projects within Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Residential.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a project\’s budget by creating cost estimates, monitoring spending, and producing financial reports to ensure it stays on track
  • Handling all legal and contractual aspects of a project, including reviewing contracts, managing sub-contractor payments, and resolving claims or disputes
  • Identifying and evaluating potential financial risks to the project and creating strategies to minimise them, thereby protecting the contractor\’s profit

Requirements

  • 2 years Experience working as the Junior/Assistant Surveyor
  • Ideally working towards your HNC
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and bespoke packages
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and can work to tight deadlines
  • Willingness to undertake training and development to further progress your career
