Position Type: Full‑Time, 12‑Month Contract

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

Pay Rate: £13.20/hour

We are seeking a self‑motivated individual to develop a career in warehousing and logistics with a global industry leader. This role offers structured entry‑level training and a clear path to advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment: Picking and packing UK and export customer orders accurately, and presenting raw and packaging materials for production departments.
  • System Tracking: Using SAP to check stock levels and log the completion of orders.
  • Safety & Quality: Conducting daily “Safe 4 Work” and “Safe 2 Start” checks on work area and equipment, including ladders and mechanical handling equipment, and maintaining a hazard‑free workplace.
  • Team Collaboration: Participating in Tier 1 shift reviews, communicating openly with team members, and flagging any issues or process errors immediately to the Senior Operator.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engaging with personalized training to become flexible across various warehouse roles, aiming to reach Band 2 Operative level.

Working Conditions

  • Active warehouse environment with varying temperatures; up to 60% of time spent in cold room temperatures (down to 2 °C).
  • Occasional outdoor work while loading trucks.
  • Physical handling: standing/walking for up to 4 hours, lifting items up to 7.5 kg, pushing/pulling picking carts (up to 125 kg) and pallet trucks (up to 500 kg).

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Education: At least 4 Standard Grades (or equivalent), ideally including Mathematics.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literate with ability to learn new software (SAP training provided).
  • Process Mindset: Exceptional ability to follow SOPs accurately and identify errors or issues quickly.
  • Soft Skills: Highly reliable, dependable, self‑starting, focused on personal development, and able to communicate effectively within a team.

Desirable Criteria

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (advantageous but not required).
