An "Ofsted Outstanding" rated independent fostering agency is seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team across the South of England. This is a rare opportunity for a qualified Social Work professional to enjoy a 100% remote working model, managing a stable and dispersed team while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will oversee a dedicated team of five Social Workers across London, Bristol, Dorset, and Cornwall. While the role is primarily home-based, it offers the prestige of working for a nationally recognised provider known for its commitment to placement stability and excellence in foster carer support.
Responsibilities- Leading a team of five Social Workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality support and supervision to foster carers.
- Maintaining the agency's Outstanding status by ensuring all practice adheres to National Minimum Standards and Fostering Service Regulations.
- Operating a fully remote service, with very occasional travel (estimated 2-3 times every six months) to Bristol or Birmingham for Ofsted inspections, annual meetings, or awards.
- Primarily a management role, though the post-holder may temporarily hold a small caseload in exceptional circumstances (e.g., during recruitment gaps or sickness).
- Taking a lead role in investigating any allegations or attending support groups as required (noting a historically low rate of allegations within this region).
- Overseeing the support and retention of foster carers across the South region.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in placements through rigorous monitoring of outcomes.
- Coordinating responses to any placement difficulties or safeguarding concerns.
- Leading on service development initiatives to enhance the agency's regional offering.
- Collaborating with the Central Home Finding and Recruitment teams to ensure placement matching is effective.
- Contributing to the recruitment and induction of new staff members.
- Qualified Social Worker: Must be registered with Social Work England.
- IFA Experience: Essential experience working within an Independent Fostering Agency, either at a Senior Supervising or Management level.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage staff and drive performance within a regulatory framework.
