We are seeking dedicated and experienced Island Community Support Workers to provide essential care to adults within their own homes across various UK islands. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals while experiencing the distinct lifestyle of island communities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive home care, including personal care, medication administration, and safe moving and handling, to adults in their own homes.
- Conduct multiple visits per day, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Work autonomously and uphold professional standards during lone working.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and contribute to care plan development.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with clients and their families.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting older adults in a care setting.
- Previous experience in home care is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in providing personal care, safe moving and handling, and medication administration.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
- Full flexibility to work 5-6 days per week, across varying shift times between 07:00 and 23:00.
