Are you an experienced, compassionate and caring support worker looking for a new challenge or a change? Here at Randstad we could have the role for you! We are looking for support workers to come and join our team working on the Scottish Islands.

About the role:

  • There are a variety of roles available, with care in the community, LD and care home work available.
  • Experience working with a range of service users is desirable including learning disabilities, elderly, dementia, physical disabilities and some challenging behaviour.
  • The role will allow you to help and care for people who need support and build relationships with them.
  • You will be helping service users with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, household tasks and general domiciliary care.
  • This role involves promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing of service users who have a variety of additional needs.
  • You will be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Scottish islands on your days off.
  • You would need to be able to commit to a 12 week minimum for the post with contract extensions often available.
  • Accommodation will be provided while on the island.
  • Due to the remote locations of many of the services, it is essential that you have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

About you:

  • Previous experience working in a care home or in a community care setting is preferred.
