Requirements
- Hold a Level 3 qualification (or higher) in any discipline
- Holds a pass grade at GCSE Level in English or Essential Skills Level 2 in Literacy or an equivalent qualification
- Holds a pass grade at GCSE Level in Mathematics or Essential Skills Level 2 in Numeracy
- A minimum of one year (within the last five) relevant industrial experience, including managing stock control within a catering environment
- Excellent communication with key stakeholders of all levels is key for this role
- Enhanced vetting is required for this role including an enhanced Access NI check
Responsibilities
- Plan and review to ensure efficient control of food commodities for the effective delivery of curriculum within the School
- Maintain and monitor the cost efficient use of resources through the College online stock control system
- Obtain food commodities by placing orders, making requisitions or drawing on available stock to minimise waste
- Deep cleaning of equipment during periods of down-time
- Monitoring and maintenance of hygiene, health and safety and security standards within the department including the checking of food temperatures and food safety, recorded in statutory HACCP files
