Randstad is currently recruiting for a Social Work Officer / Social Care Officer to join the Adult Services team at the London Borough of Haringey.
About the Role:This position involves working within a strengths-based model of practice, holding a non-complex caseload, and supporting residents to maintain their independence and wellbeing. You'll be collaborating with internal teams and external partners to help residents access services, navigate support systems, and build resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake strengths-based assessments, reviews, and support planning
Assist residents in accessing aids, benefits, and short-term care
Support carers with respite planning to reduce carer breakdown
Collaborate with families and communities to enable informed decisions
Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and legal documentation
Liaise across the Haringey health and social care partnership
Contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings
Attend safeguarding strategy meetings as required
Complete Continuing Health Care (CHC) checklists and support with full assessments
Requirements:
Recognised Social Work or relevant professional qualification
Previous experience working in adult social care or community support
Familiarity with the Care Act and strength-based approaches
Strong communication and organisational skills
