Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing female Support Worker to join our close-knit team in the beautiful Shetland Islands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is willing to work away from home for periods of up to 12 weeks at a time. The role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a female service user with learning disabilities, as well as contributing to the wider support within our residential service for adults with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing person-centred, one-to-one support to a female service user.

  • Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.

  • Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of support professionals to ensure a high standard of care.

  • Supporting the service user to engage in a wide range of activities, both within the residential service and the local community.

What we are looking for:

  • A friendly, empathetic, and outgoing personality.

  • A commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.

  • The ability to work away from home for up to 12 weeks at a time.

  • Must be a driver with your own car

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Pay rate of £24 per hour (Umbrella), which is equivalent to £20.47 per hour PAYE.

  • Sleepover shifts are also available to help increase your earnings.

  • Immediate start available in September.
