Wakefield Council is seeking a highly skilled Enhanced Senior Social Worker to join their out-of-hours Emergency Duty Team (EDT). Operating from District Headquarters in Normanton, this part-time role places you at the very frontline of emergency response, safeguarding vulnerable children, adults, and families across the district.
The Shift Pattern Rota:
- This is an 18.5-hour part-time position working on a rota basis.
- Because crisis work doesn't keep office hours, EDT coverage spans evenings, weekends, and bank holidays:
- Twilight/Evening Shifts: 16:00 - 00:00 (Monday to Sunday)
- Weekend/Bank Holiday Day Shifts: 09:00 - 17:00
- On-Call Coverage: Participation in overnight on-call duties between 00:00 and 08:30.
