Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Child Protection Officer to join a dedicated team within Middlesbrough Council. This is a full-time role offering a competitive hourly rate of £27.56.
The Senior Child Protection Officer will be responsible for conducting thorough child protection investigations, assessments, and case management. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Undertaking initial assessments of children at risk
- Developing and implementing child protection plans
- Liaising with families, social workers, police, and other agencies
- Preparing comprehensive reports for court proceedings
- Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues
The role requires experience in safeguarding children and working with vulnerable families.
The successful candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and significant experience in child protection work within a local authority setting.
