We are currently recruiting Home Care Workers to join a growing care team and deliver person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a wide range of needs while promoting independence and dignity for service users.

About the Role

This is initially a temporary role with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will provide single visits for one-to-one support, double-up visits for more complex mobility needs, and sitting services for companionship and respite.

Your key duties will include:

  • Providing personal care, such as washing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with meals, hydration, and medication support
  • Supporting mobility and safe transfers
  • Performing light household duties and providing emotional support and companionship
  • Travelling between service users' homes

Location and Hours:

You will support service users across the Angus area, including Arbroath, Montrose, Brechin, Letham, Forfar, Edzell, and surrounding locations. We offer 40 hours per week with flexible shift patterns. Shifts include early runs (06:00 - 15:15, with some 07:30 starts) and late runs (15:15 - 22:45), with double shifts also available. Runs typically last 6-8 hours and cover morning, lunch, tea, and bedtime visits.

Pay & Benefits:

Temporary/Agency Rates: £18 umbrella per hour on weekdays and £19 umbrella per hour on weekends. Permanent Pay (upon transfer): Starting from £13.65 per hour.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Driving: A full UK driving licence is strictly essential, and access to your own vehicle.
  • Experience: Previous care experience, particularly in care-at-home, is desirable.
  • Traits: You must have a compassionate, reliable, and professional approach, with the ability to work flexible shifts.
