About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our established care team. In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centered care and support to young people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex health needs, helping them to live as independently as possible. You will be joining a forward-thinking service that offers excellent opportunities for career progression and collaborative work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build warm, trusting, and professional relationships with the young people you support.
- Provide dignified and respectful personal and intimate care as outlined in individual care plans (including medication administration, meal preparation, and personal hygiene).
- Enable young people to develop daily living skills and access social, leisure, and educational opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with families, college staff, and other professionals to ensure a consistent, multi-agency approach to care.
- Act as a Key Worker, supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, contributing to care plans and reviews.
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and health and safety at all times.
About You
- While previous experience in a similar care environment is preferred, it is not essential. We are looking for individuals with the right values and a person-centered approach.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is highly desirable.
- You have excellent communication and listening skills.
- You are a proactive team player but can also work on your own initiative.
- You possess a warm, patient, and non-judgemental demeanor.
- You are reliable, flexible, and committed to providing high-quality care.
- A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is a strong advantage, but a willingness to work towards this is essential.
- All applicants must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
