Qualified Social Worker | Adoption | Part time

Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a passion for supporting children and families through the adoption journey? We are currently recruiting for a part-time locum Social Worker to join a Recruitment & Assessment Adoption Team in the Wigan area. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the lives of children and provide vital support to prospective adopters. Hours: 29 hours, 4 days per week Benefits: One dedicated consultant – your personal point of contact Weekly payroll for consistent income Access to ongoing CPD and training via our e-learning platform Weekly updates on local locum opportunities Refer a friend bonus – earn up to £300* Responsibilities: Actively recruit and assess prospective adopters (Stage One & Two) Deliver pre- and post-approval training to adopters Support and supervise adopters in meeting the needs of looked-after children Complete comprehensive assessments, including risk and need Provide services that promote preventative childcare and safeguard children Undertake child protection duties and attend court as required Participate in duty rota as designated by local management Work collaboratively with external agencies involved in the adoption processTo be considered for the role, ideally you will have: Minimum of 3 years\’ experience in a similar setting Qualified Social Worker (BSc or equivalent) Registered with Social Work England Strong experience in adopter recruitment, training, and support Confident working independently and as part of a team Familiarity with multi-agency working within adoption services To avoid missing out on this fantastic opportunity, please apply today- or for more information call Lynne Thomson on (phone number removed).
