We are seeking a dedicated and fast‐thinking Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a high‐performing team within one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Preston. In the fast‐paced environment of A&E, every second counts, and we need nurses who thrive under pressure and remain focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

If you are a nurse who enjoys the variety of emergency medicine—from minor injuries to major trauma—this is the perfect environment for you. We are looking for professionals who are adaptable, resilient, and deeply compassionate.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified RGN with at least 6 months of experience in an acute NHS setting (A&E or Assessment Suite experience is highly desirable).
  • Excel in clinical assessment and triage, ensuring patients are prioritised effectively based on clinical need.
  • Be proficient in emergency clinical skills, including cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs.
  • Be a calm and effective communicator, able to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including paramedics, consultants, and social services.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff and students, maintaining high standards of clinical practice across the ward.
  • Be confident in managing high‐stress situations and providing emotional support to patients and their families during crises.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN).
  • Valid NMC Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to process a new one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
