We are urgently seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Safeguarding Team at Oldham Council. This is a vital role offering an excellent hourly rate for professionals committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
The Role: Safeguarding Social Worker
- You will manage a complex caseload of children and families subject to Child Protection (CP) plans, focusing on reducing risk and promoting stability.
- Managing and progressing complex cases from Initial Child Protection Conference (ICPC) through to case closure or court proceedings.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and utilizing evidence-based practice models.
- Implementing and reviewing multi-agency Child Protection Plans and ensuring effective family engagement.
Pay Rate: Highly competitive rate of £39.00 per hour (Umbrella).
Duration: Initial long-term contract with strong likelihood of extension.
Must be a Qualified Social Worker (QSW), registered with Social Work England. Proven, recent experience working specifically within a statutory Safeguarding or Long-Term Child Protection Team. Expert knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding procedures.
