Team: Children's Social Care
Reports To: Team Manager / Senior Practitioner
Role Purpose: Manage a caseload to assess needs, protect vulnerable children, and deliver care plans that improve family outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess & Plan: Conduct risk and needs assessments to create and update tailored family care plans.
- Safeguard & Intervene: Respond to crises, manage safety risks, and implement legal interventions when necessary.
- Record & Report: Maintain precise electronic case files (Mosaic) and write reports for Courts, panels, and case conferences.
- Collaborate: Partner with schools, police, and health services while participating in reflective supervision.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Social Work degree, active regulatory registration, and completed post-qualifying training (ASYE).
- Experience: Background in managing caseloads, multi-agency working, and writing formal reports.
- Skills: De-escalating conflict, navigating child care legislation, and IT proficiency.
- Other: Enhanced DBS check, independent mobility across the Borough, and flexibility for unsocial hours.
