Newcastle City Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join their highly valued Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team.

The MASH is the front door for all safeguarding concerns for children and young people in Newcastle. As a MASH Social Worker, you will be pivotal in triaging referrals, gathering information from various partner agencies (Police, Health, Education), and making crucial, timely decisions about the appropriate level of intervention and risk.

This is a fast-paced, high-support environment where your analytical skills, ability to manage complexity, and commitment to multi-agency working will be tested and rewarded daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and Screening: Efficiently screen incoming referrals, gathering sufficient information to determine the level of risk and required response (e.g., No Further Action, Early Help, Section 47 Enquiry).
