The Role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Justice Social Worker to join a team in East Lothian. This is a fast-paced, vital role focused on public protection and supporting individuals to make positive changes. You will manage a diverse caseload and be responsible for the preparation of Justice Social Work Reports. Your work will take you across the local authority, meeting service users in Musselburgh, Haddington, Tranent, and Dunbar to ensure local accessibility and effective supervision.
Key Requirements
- LSCMI Trained: You must be fully trained and proficient in the Level of Service/Case Management Inventory.
- Qualified Social Worker: Valid registration with the SSSC (or equivalent) and a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Justice Experience: Proven experience within a Justice Social Work setting is essential.
- Mobility: Ability to travel across East Lothian to meet service users in various local hubs.
Flexible Working & Work-Life Balance
- Hybrid Model: Up to 40% of your working week can be spent working from home.
- Compressed Hours: Our client is open to discussing flexible patterns; a nine-day fortnight is currently a popular and successful arrangement within the team.
Base: Musselburgh, offering a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work
- LSCMI trained, Sara and SA07 would be desirable
- Member of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly, under direction and independently where necessary
- Member of the PVG scheme
- Court Reports writing
