We are urgently seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Duty and Assessment Team at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive local authority offering an excellent hourly rate.

The Role: Duty & Assessment Social Worker

  • You will be responsible for the initial phase of Children's Social Care involvement, undertaking critical, timely assessments to determine risk and need.
  • Presenting findings clearly and concisely to inform the next steps, whether that is progression to Child Protection, Child in Need, or case closure.
  • Maintaining accurate and high-quality records on electronic case management systems.

Pay Rate: Highly competitive rate of £39.00 per hour (Umbrella).

Duration: Initial long-term contract with likely extension.

Must be a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) registered with Social Work England. Excellent understanding of the Children Act 1989 and relevant child protection legislation.
