Working Pattern: Hybrid (Office attendance required for weekly pod, duty days & monthly team meetings)

Are you an experienced Senior Social Worker with strong Child Protection and Court expertise looking for a high-rate locum role in Leicestershire?
We are currently recruiting a skilled Senior Social Worker to join the Loughborough Safeguarding Team, covering both Loughborough and Melton areas. Offering a competitive pay rate of Β£38.00 per hour, this role is ideal for resilient statutory practitioners who excel in court proceedings, complex safeguarding, and multi-agency family intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complex Case Management: Hold and manage a statutory caseload focusing on complex Child Protection (CP) and Public Law Outline (PLO) / Court cases across Loughborough and Melton.
- Court Proceedings: Complete high-quality court statements, present evidence in court (Leicester City), and manage care proceedings through to completion.
- Duty & Safeguarding: Participate in designated team duty rotas, completing Section 47 safeguarding enquiries and robust risk assessments.
- Hybrid & Office Commitments: Work flexibly from home while maintaining consistent office presence for weekly pod meetings, duty days, and monthly full team meetings.
What We Are Looking For:
- Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Core Experience: Significant post-qualifying experience in statutory Child Protection and active Court work.
- Transport: Full UK driving licence and car access to cover cases across Loughborough, Melton, and Leicester City Court.
- Key Skills: High-level analytical assessment skills, court writing expertise, and strong multi-agency collaboration.
