About the Role
Leicestershire County Council is seeking a high-caliber, Level 3 Social Worker to join their fast-paced First Response (Front Door) Assessment Team. This critical role is the initial point of entry for children's services, ensuring that vulnerable children and families receive timely, high-quality assessments and interventions. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and a stable, 37-hour full-time work week under a flexible hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Door Assessments: Undertake initial, comprehensive child and family assessments to determine risk and immediate safeguarding needs.
- Child Protection (CP): Act swiftly on safeguarding referrals, identifying risk factors and implementing immediate protection plans where necessary.
- Court Proceedings: Initiate urgent care proceedings, prepare robust court reports and statements, and represent the Local Authority in court.
