Randstad has an opportunity available for a HR Services Assistant to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College.
The ideal candidate will carry out a range of HR administrative tasks across the department, ensuring that all HR transactional processes are accurately documented, recorded and employee records are maintained to high standards.

Requirements
- GCSE English Language at Grade C or above or equivalent (Certificate evidence WILL be required)
- GCSE Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent (Certificate evidence WILL be required)
- Hold a qualification BTEC National, GNVQ Advanced, or NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant subject
- 12 months experience working in a customer facing environment which requires confidentiality and the ability to handle data and information of a sensitive nature is essential
- Ideally the preferred candidate will have experience working within an HR Department at an administrative level for at least 6 months
- Excellent knowledge using Microsoft Office applications (e. g. Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role).
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and consistent outputs across the full range of HR activities
- Support with the full recruitment lifecycle
- Prepare, issue and receive contractual templates to include Flexible Working, Family Friendly applications and ad hoc requests
- Process documentation required by college departments or the Department of Education
- Maintain accurate record keeping for all HR transactions and processes
- Handle central mailbox enquires to ensure all queries are answered within SLA
- Communicate HR information effectively
- Organise meetings and disseminate agendas and minutes
- Respond on a rota basis to telephone calls made to the College's sickness absence line
- Collate sick absence returns, follow up on non-returns and input data into HR Information Systems
- Schedule Occupational Health appointments and notify employees of details
