Are you a qualified and experienced social worker looking for a new challenge? Look no further. Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Lowmoss HMP in their Criminal Justice Service. This is a full-time role offering a fantastic competitive pay rate.

Responsibilities:
- Providing regular, structured supervision to staff, particularly regarding high-risk casework.
- Operational Casework Oversight
- Ensuring the appropriate allocation of cases and managing the overall workload to meet court deadlines.
- Guiding staff in high-priority areas, including the assessment and management of violent and registered sex offenders (often via the MAPPA framework).
- Monitoring the quality of Criminal Justice Social Work Reports (CJSWR) and case files to ensure they meet statutory requirements.
- Taking a lead role in chairing reviews for Community Payback Orders (CPOs) and Risk Management Case Conferences.
- Ensuring the council meets its legislative duties under the Social Work (Scotland) Act and the Management of Offenders (Scotland) Act.
- Managing and monitoring specific team budgets to ensure there are no overspends and that resources are used efficiently.
- Implementing new national initiatives, such as 'Diversion from Prosecution' or changes to 'Throughcare' (post-release supervision).
- Liaising with Police Scotland, the Scottish Prison Service (SPS), and the Courts.
- Contributing to the Community Justice Partnership to develop local strategies that reduce reoffending.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings regarding Child and Adult Protection where justice service users are involved.
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree
- SSSC registration
- PVG Experience
- Criminal Justice LSCMI trained
