Randstad are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing high-quality, trauma-informed care for young people. In this role, you will support the Home Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the service, ensuring we meet and exceed all regulatory standards and legislative requirements. You can expect a fantastic salary of £40,019 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Care & Operational Practice: Ensure young people receive individual support, maintain family contact, and are prepared for adulthood. Create a homely, safe, and well-maintained environment that respects privacy and encourages positive social behaviour. Oversee planned admissions and discharges, ensuring stability within the home. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans, therapeutic strategies (including the PACE Model), and risk assessments.
  • Staff Leadership & Human Resources: Provide leadership, guidance, and management to the staff team. Be responsible for the recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal of staff. Ensure all staff receive monthly supervision and are supported in their professional development. Manage staffing levels, rotas, and emergency cover.
  • Administration & Finance: Maintain accurate records, logbooks, and high-quality review reports. Provide necessary information and notifications to the Care Inspectorate. Manage and operate delegated budgets, monitoring expenditure to prevent overspending.
  • Safety & Welfare: Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements for both staff and young people. Promote the safety and welfare of residents, responding appropriately to any allegations of abuse or neglect. Participate in the on-call system for the service.
