  • At least 6 months of paid UK experience in children's residential or crisis support settings.
  • Proven ability to de-escalate aggression, self-harm, or destructive behaviours calmly and without judgement.
  • A strict understanding of professional boundaries and safe-touch protocols.
  • PMVA training is highly desirable (training can be provided for the right candidate).

Mindset & Essentials

  • Resilience: The mental stamina to remain a calm, consistent anchor during stressful shifts.
  • Observation: A sharp eye for micro-changes in a young person's mood or behaviours.
  • Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
