Children's Social Worker – Children in Care Team We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the lives of children in our care, promoting their safety, well-being, and development as they navigate the challenges of being looked after. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of children in care, providing ongoing support and guidance as they transition through different placements and stages of their lives. Work collaboratively with children, foster carers, adoptive parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that address their specific needs and aspirations. Offer practical and emotional support to children in care, building positive relationships and fostering a sense of trust and security. Champion the best interests of children, ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are protected, and they have access to appropriate services and resources. Prepare reports and attend court hearings related to care proceedings, advocating for the best interests of children. Work closely with foster carers, adoptive parents, school staff, health services, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to children's needs.We are looking for social workers with a strong understanding of the needs of looked-after children, proven experience working with children in care, and a genuine commitment to their well-being and positive outcomes. Essential Requirements: Qualified Social Worker: Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England. Experience with Looked After Children: Proven experience working with children in care, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges they face and the support they need.
