We are seeking dedicated and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our team, providing essential care and support within various Children's Homes across Cumbria. This role is crucial for supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs, including those presenting challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent and compassionate support to children within residential settings.
  • Assist children in managing emotional and behavioural challenges, implementing agreed care plans.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for all residents.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning discussions.
  • Travel to various homes across the Cumbria region as required.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working specifically within Residential Children's Homes.
  • Proven experience working with children who have experienced trauma.
  • Ideally, hold a valid UK driving licence; however, this is not essential.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 1 hour to homes within the locality.
  • Availability for both day and night shifts, including long days with sleep-ins.
  • Eligible to work full-time hours in the UK without restrictions.

Working Hours and Pay:

This role involves long days with sleep-in duties. The shift structure is as follows: Days w/ Sleeps: 10:00 - 23:00 with a sleep-in, followed by 08:00 - 10:00.

Pay Rates:

  • Day Rate: £15.35 per hour
  • Waking Night Rate: £16.88 per hour
  • Sleep-in Rate: £63.04 flat rate
