Job Description

We have a range of permanent positions in the area of Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland that are offering full time and part time careers for anyone that has social care experience, we are also open to applications from anyone that displays a strong desire to build a successful career in the social care sector. In this role you will work directly with the people we work for, supporting them to make positive changes in their life and be part of their community.
There are opportunities to work with adults in a range of settings such as Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Autism, Elderly Mental Health, Physical and/or Learning Disabilities services.

A successful community care assistant will be responsible for:
- Supporting service users with diverse backgrounds and support requirements
- Displaying the emotional resilience to support service users with challenging behaviour and loneliness
- Working to a flexible schedule, including nightshifts, weekends and bank holidays
- Administering medication, changing dressings and basic meal preparation
To be successful in your community care assistant application, you will:
- Have previous experience working in a care setting with adults
- Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving licence (essential)
- Obtained SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (desirable)
