We have an exciting opportunity available for a committed Mental Health Nurse to join a friendly, hard-working team on an NHS acute mental health ward in Bradford. All colleagues play their part in ensuring that an excellent standard of care is delivered and that patient wellbeing is at the heart of every decision. The wards available include Acute Mental Health, Older Adults (Functional and Organic), or Learning Disabilities. As an added benefit, you would be working within an NHS Trust devoted to excellence and ensuring they remain one of the leading Mental Healths in the country.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 6 months post-qualifying experience.
- Be committed to all elements of the NMC Code of Conduct and passionate about living core values daily.
- Be a true advocate for patients in the acute phase of their illness who are often at their most vulnerable.
- Be a committed team player willing to support and mentor junior staff, such as Healthcare Assistants.
- Have the ability to engage and build rapport with vulnerable patients aged 18-65.
- Be confident in verbal de-escalation and medication administration/management.
- Be willing to assist in managing ward admissions and acting as 'shift lead' when required (overseeing observations, allocations, tribunal reports, and care plans).
Requirements:
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Valid NMC Registration.
- Enhanced DBS check.
