Job Title: Child Protection Social Worker
Location: Sandwell, West Midlands
Pay Rate: Up to Β£33.30 per hour (Umbrella) - based on experience
Contract: Full-Time Temporary (Ongoing)

Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Sandwell Children's Services are looking for a skilled Child Protection Social Worker to join their frontline safeguarding team and help drive positive outcomes for children at risk.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and care proceedings

Undertake comprehensive assessments, including S47 enquiries and court reports

Develop and implement robust care plans that ensure children's safety and wellbeing

Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals

Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on case management systems

Attend and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and court hearings
Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience in child protection or safeguarding

Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance

Confident in handling complex caseloads and risk management

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)

Car driver with access to own vehicle (preferred)
