Locum Children Families Social Worker (Child Protection) - Scottish Borders Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact? Responsibilities Child Protection Safeguarding: Lead complex risk assessments, Section 52 inquiries, and joint investigative interviews to safeguard children and young people up to age 18. Caseload Management: Oversee a diverse, balanced statutory caseload, including Child Protection plans, Looked After Children (LAC), and transition planning for young people aged 16-18. Care Transition Planning: Develop and implement outcome-focused care plans in close partnership with young people, families, and kinship carers. Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work effectively with NHS Borders, Police Scotland, education providers, and third-sector agencies to provide robust, multi-disciplinary support.
