Halton Borough Council is recruiting a dedicated Children's Team Manager to lead their specialist Children with Disability (CWD) Team. Offering a top-tier rate of £46.00 per hour, this role is ideal for an accomplished manager skilled at supervising practitioners, managing case allocations, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective services for children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision & Leadership: Direct line management, supervision, and guidance of a team of qualified Social Workers, driving staff well-being, development, and high practice standards.

Work Allocation & Prioritisation: Manage the prioritisation and allocation of team casework across Halton, identifying resource needs and ensuring services meet legal and policy obligations.

Statutory Practice Oversight: Maintain robust oversight across Child Protection enquiries, Care Planning, Statutory Reviews, and Leaving Care transitions.

Multi-Agency & Partnership Working: Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships across statutory, voluntary, and independent sectors, chairing multi-agency meetings as required.

Reporting & Quality Assurance: Work alongside the Principal Manager to ensure strict adherence to performance, accounting, and documentation standards.
What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications & SWE: DipSW/CQSW or equivalent Social Work qualification with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.

Supervisory Experience: Prior experience supervising staff or student resources within statutory Children's Social Care.

Specialist Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of Child Protection law, Care Planning regulations, Leaving Care legislation, and disability pathways.
