Pay Rate: £14.08 - £22.00/hr (+ shift enhancements & sleepover allowances)

A premier specialist care provider is seeking dedicated Childcare Specialists to support children and young adults with complex emotional, social, and behavioral needs across our community residential homes and specialist secure care unit.

Core Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic emotional, practical, and physical care within residential and secure settings.

Build trusting, trauma-informed relationships and mentor essential daily life skills.

Manage complex behaviors using specialized verbal de-escalation and therapeutic safety techniques.

Serve as a keyworker, collaborating with social workers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Maintain clear, confidential records in line with Care Inspectorate and SSSC standards.

Facilitate safe community access and outings across Angus and Aberdeenshire.
Requirements
-
Experience: Background in residential care, social care, youth work, or mental health is desirable.

Registration: SSSC registered or committed to registering within required timeframes.

Licence: Valid UK Driving Licence essential.

Attributes: Strong emotional resilience, active listening skills, and robust boundary management.
